Ravichandran Ashwin scored his sixth test hundred as he and Ravindra Jadeja dug India's cricketers out of trouble against Bangladesh on day one of the first test.

A flurry of wickets fell on Day 2 of the India vs Bangladesh 1st Test at Chennai. India lost 7 wickets across two innings, while Bangladesh lost all 10 wickets in the second innings.This is the most number of wickets that had fallen on a single day of a Test Match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

India have taken 308 runs lead at the end of Day 2 of the first Test against Bangladesh with Shubman Gill (33) and Rishabh Pant (12) holding the fort. Earlier in the day, in response to India's 374, Bangladesh could only muster 149 as the Indian bowlers made short work of the visiting batting lineup on Day 2 of the first Test in Chennai.

Magnificent bowling performance by India bowlers restricted the Bangladesh side to 112 runs for the loss of eight wickets at the stroke of Tea at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium on Thursday.
