Eagles fans had their holiday season somewhat spoiled when Jalen Hurts exited Philadelphia's Week 16 showdown against the Commanders early after sustaining a head injury. With Hurts out, the Commanders rallied to pull off an upset that hindered Philadelphia's chances at obtaining the NFC's top playoff seed.

On Friday, head coach Nick Sirianni provided an update on his team’s signal caller, and implied that it was looking like he’d be out for at least another week. " [Hurts] is still in the protocol. It's going to be tough for him to make it this week," Sirianni told reporters.

Pickett played for the Steelers for his first two seasons, throwing for 4,474 yards, 13 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in 25 appearances.
