Trader Joe’s in Baton Rouge reopened early Friday after hurricane damage had closed the store for more than a week. A pink sign taped to the front of the door starting Sept. 11 told patrons the store was closed because of hurricane damage. Windows were blacked-out with trash bags.

Trader Joe's on Perkins Road has reopened after being closed since Hurricane Francine hit Louisiana on Wednesday, Sept. 11.

More than a week after Hurricane Francine stormed through south Louisiana, the Trader Joe’s store in Baton Rouge remains closed and answers as to when the business will reopen are hard to find. Thick black plastic sheeting lines the inside of the glass in front of the grocery store,

The Baton Rouge Trader Joe’s is temporarily closed following Hurricane Francine. Management posted a sign on the grocery store’s front door that reads, “Due to hurricane damage, we are closed until further notice.
