The latest batch of rankings have certainly struck a chord with college football fans, as the standings of teams like the Georgia Bulldogs, Indiana Hoosiers, and BYU Cougars have caused quite an uproar.

We are officially into the final month of the college football regular season, and plenty of teams still have everything to play for. Anywhere between 20 and 40 teams are still alive to reach the expanded 12-team playoff, and the College Football Playoff rankings tell the story of the sport each week.

A&M checked in at No. 15 in the second rankings released on Tuesday night concerning the 12-team CFP, down one spot from a week prior. The Aggies (7-2, 5-1 SEC) host New Mexico State (2-7, 1-5 C-USA) on Saturday night in a nonconference contest before closing league play Nov. 23 at Auburn and Nov. 30 at Kyle Field against No. 3 Texas.
