Trevor Etienne, the top running back for No. 11 Georgia, has been ruled out of the game Saturday against No. 6 Tennessee with a rib injury.

The 5-foot-9, 205-pounder tried to play through the injury while missing parts of Georgia’s last two games. He leads the team with 477 yards on 95 carries.

Georgia running back Trevor Etienne was listed as out on Thursday evening’s SEC Availability Report. Etienne, who was listed as questionable as of Wednesday, injured his rib during the Florida game.

Georgia is accustomed to playing in big games. But Saturday will be a first of sorts for the Bulldogs, given this is the initial year of the 12-team College Football Playoff.
