In a wild double-overtime finish, Washington State secured a thrilling 54-52 victory over San Jose State on Friday night.

Washington State made a furious rally in the fourth quarter, kicked a last-second FG to force OT, and stopped a 2-point try in 2OT to beat San Jose State 54-52 in a wild shootout late Friday night in Pullman.

One mistake that could've easily cost Washington State the game occurred shortly after the Cougars intercepted a pass from San Jose State quarterback Emmett Brown on the second play of overtime. All Washington State needed to do was run the ball and set up kicker Dean Janikowski for a potential game-winning field goal.
