Mattel apologizes for inadvertently directing people to pornography site instead of one promoting upcoming film.

Mattel has some wicked problems after a packaging error occurred with the upcoming movie's collectible dolls. "Wicked" dolls manufactured by Mattel misprinted the promotional movie website wickedmovie.com. The misprint, which left the word movie out of the URL, directed consumers to an adult-rated website.

Mattel may be safe from the Wicked Witch of the West, but it has had to issue a mea culpa to avoid the wrath of angry parents.The toy company said the web address for a pornography company was mistakenly printed on the packaging for dolls tied to the new film “Wicked” instead of the official website for the coming Universal Pictures release.
