The BJP on Tuesday dismissed claims that actor-turned-politician Mithun Chakraborty’s purse was stolen during a rally in Dhanbad, Jharkhand, insisting that it was simply misplaced and later recovered.

As he made his way to address the gathering, a BJP worker allegedly managed to get close enough to steal his wallet. The incident, captured on video, quickly spread across social media platform X.

Mithun also responded to a video circulating online, in which Pakistani don Shahzad Bhatti reportedly threatened him over a statement and demanded an apology within 15 days
