Survivor returned with a two-hour premiere for season 47 on Sept. 18. For one of the 18 new castaways, the “adventure of a lifetime” was cut very short, when Jon Lovett — a Pod Save America co-host and Barack Obama’s former speechwriter — was voted out by his Gata tribemates.

As Season 47 begins, the 18 castaways stranded in Fiji will form alliances and vote each other out as they aim to win the $1 million prize.
